Cody Cox I love a well written story and I even showed my friend Thomas. This EP feels like a movie. I can't wait to see what is next for them if anything at all. Favorite track: Then Very Dead.

poser Fearless Leader paints a very engaging story over this EP. Short and to the point, I really got behind the story of Thomas thanks in part to the infectious energy. 8/10 Favorite track: There was Thomas.

I’ve been sailing, I’ve been failing. I’ve been wandering, I’m left wanting. I’ve been sailing, I’ve been failing. I’ve been wandering, I’m left wanting. Oh Thomas, Oh Thomas. Oh Thomas, Oh Thomas.

In the beginning There was Thomas A hopeful boy His world full of promise Oh, Thomas. In the beginning Here was Thomas A lonesome man His world without solace Oh, Thomas. And in the beginning There was Thomas An unmemorable man—with a swollen heart His eyes held wide Though closed by a blind optimism And this is Thomas. And this is Thomas. And this is Thomas. He sleeps too much— These dreams of fire and flames, Pulling apart one piece at a time. His world comes down— With buildings cracked, and pavement split, A deep roar off in the distance. Dogs bark too loud— Growing louder, more urgent. They seem to melt into human cries. He snaps awake— In a pool of his own sweat, Dogs bark in the distance. Just briefly lost— His world comes together. "What a day. What a lovely day” he says. Just briefly lost— His world comes together. "What a day. What a lovely day” he says. Thomas steps out into the wide world. Thomas is lost out in the wide world. Thomas meets his fate out in the wide world. The sky, The sound, The smell, The color— It’s all familiar. It’s all familiar. His fear, Creeps up, Behind, His throat— It’s all familiar. It’s all familiar. His dreams, Have leaked, Right through, His head. His dreams, Have leaked, Right through, His head. And his eyes are locked onto another’s. Thomas stops dead in his tracks. Thomas feels his soul corrupted. Thomas is dead on his feet. Thomas, poor Thomas.

Thomas, Practically fell over. That girl, With the sallow eyes, The only pair in the crowd. “I’m headed to work" – says Thomas. "Where my job is” – says Thomas. She grins, he blushes. “And what do you do?” she says. Well “I’m with the government” he says. "I’m going to old town” says Thomas But Thomas is pushed, Just out of reach. “What’s your name?” he cries, She smiles as the girl and his bus get away. Oh, Thomas. Thomas missed. Woe. Oh, poor Thomas. She would slip right through his hands. Poor Thomas. That was just his luck. Thomas takes a step forward. And his dark dreams suddenly spring to life. Give him half a chance and he’ll have nothing to give back. That was his luck. That was his luck. As the 666 pulls away, Thomas notices the sky. An astonishing pearl and red, Like a peach past its prime slathered in blood. It was a morose thought, but it was beautiful. And for the second time that day, Thomas felt alive. Things looked up. He’s late but the walk won’t kill him. No sir, a walk never hurt anyone. He’s late but the walk won’t kill him. He’s late now but the walk won’t kill him. I’m not alive, Woe. I’m not alive, Woe. Thomas, Practically fell over. That girl, With the sallow eyes, The only pair in the crowd. Thomas, Walks to work. That girl, Her eyes swimming in his head, He’s lost in his own thoughts. Thomas, Finds himself staring up at the sky, And he notices for the first time, It’s unusual color. An astonishing pearl and red – Like a peach past its prime, split wide open. And for the first time that day, Thomas felt that things were looking up. Thomas walks, One foot in front of the other, His eyes locked to the distance. Thomas reflects, He’s never had much luck, And he’s learned to ignore that frustration. But this girl— It’s her eyes. There’s something in her eyes. And his dreams continue to seep. He feels the warmth of those fires. And dogs bark in the distance. And then he thinks of that girl. Though Thomas is an optimist. That girls eyes... They make him so unbearably sad. They make him so, so sad. But he can’t stop staring. But he can’t stop staring. But he can’t stop staring. He can’t stop... One foot follows... Taking Thomas away from an expanding path of destruction His city falls, While Thomas is stuck in his reverie His bus stop fries below downed power lines His apartment is crushed by a runaway train His neighbors are ground to bits, The sky seems to ignite, His world collapses without him realizing. While Thomas is locked into the memory of that girls eyes.

Very Alive 04:47
Thomas is at his desk. Thomas is at his desk. Thomas is...sitting quietly at his desk. Lost in that girl’s eyes. And Thomas is perfectly content. And his...boss approaches — “Thomas, I’d like to speak with you privately” And Thomas experiences acute dread. This is where...Thomas loses his job. This is a tipping point for Thomas. I’m alive. That girlsssss eyesssss This girlsssss eyesssss Adam That girlsssss eyesssss This girlsssss eyesssss I’m not this job. “This has been a strange day” “But this is a wonderful day” "And that can’t be taken from me” So Thomas rode high, As he walked out of that office, Again, looking at the sky, enamored. His delight muting a deep, terrific crack in the distance. Across town, death and disaster approached, Though Thomas is oblivious. Because Thomas finally feels, That he's doing right by himself. Thomas sees that girls eyes, And takes the long way home. Though Thomas feels alive today, Death and disaster loom. Right then a gas main breaks below his office floor, And his colleagues succumb without a fight. This darkening sky is an anomaly— It's a sign of something. But blinded by his own optimism, by the swirling sky, It's a sign of nothing to Thomas. Thomas fails to see, Just one foot, in front of the other. Thomas fails to see, Happily, aimlessly. Thomas fails to see, Drifting Away from reality. Thomas fails to see, The world coming down. Thomas fails to see, Just one foot, in front of the other. Thomas fails to see, Locked into her eyes. Thomas fails to see, Drifting away from reality. Eyes shut the world comes down around him. Thomassssss fails to see, The world coming down. Thomas fails to see, Locked into her eyes. Thomas fails to see, Around the corner, death creeps. Thomas fails to see, The world coming down. Thomas fails to see, Around the corner, death creeps. Thomas fails to see, The world coming down. Thomas fails to see Around the corner, death creeps. Around the corner, Death is reaching out.

Thomas is perfectly still. Thomas is perfectly still. Because Thomas is sure, Because Thomas is sure, That his luck is out. Because there she is, Because there she is, Standing alone. This puts Thomas on edge, And this puts Thomas on edge, And he’s trying not to fall. Because she’s just standing there, She’s just waiting for something, Just waiting. Staring vacantly. So Thomas is perfectly still, But Thomas knows when he sees an opportunity. And Thomas isn’t afraid. And Thomas is never afraid. Hello, My name is Thomas. We met at the bus, I think I'm sorry. This day has been strange, A day for chance. A wonderful day, So tell me. Please, why do I keep seeing you? (Thomas meets death) I’m Lillith. That’s…all. I’m just…just Lillith. This is where I want to be. This is…a wonderful place. This is...the most beautiful view . Thomas is perfectly still. Thomas is perfectly still. Because Thomas is sure, Because Thomas is sure, That his luck is out. Because there she is, Because there she is, Just standing alone. And this puts Thomas on edge, Oh this puts Thomas on edge, And he’s sure to fall. Because she’s just standing there, She’s just waiting for something. Just waiting Just staring vacantly. But Thomas knows when he sees an opportunity. Lillith, my dear Lilith. I want to hold your hand, Lillith. I want to stand with you Lillith. Well what brings you to the edge of the world? Says Lillith. Well I…I woke from a horrifying dream. I saw fire and flames. I felt doom. And I lost my job. I thought I lost what made me. But I found myself. And I found myself thinking of you. I always found myself thinking of you. And those eyes— Oh why, I found myself thinking of your eyes. I felt them burn, I felt them torture my soul, oh Lillith. In the madness of this day I thought of you, Lillith. Then she smiled. And his small world comes apart. And in that moment, a thunderous crack. And his world really comes apart.
